Deonna Purrazzo is champing at the bit for AEW gold.
The Virtuosa has been wrestling since the age of 18. She is a former TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion. Purrazzo has also captured the TNA Knockouts World Title three times. Recently she shared her aspirations of becoming a champion in AEW.
While speaking to Muscle Man Malcolm, Deonna Purrazzo shared that despite being with AEW for little over a year, she is yet to win a championship in the company. She is lucky to have all of the accolades she has in her career, but she still wants gold in AEW.
“Yeah. I think that when you look at the landscape of the AEW Women’s Division right no like… You know, Mariah May and Mercedes Moné are the top. Everyone should get into this wanting to be a champion. I am fortunate enough to be a five-time World Champion. A former Knockouts World Tag Team Champion. But I’ve been in AEW for a year now. Just over a year. And I want AEW gold. So, whether it is Mercedes Moné or it is Mariah May. It could be Toni Storm at the end of Grand Slam in Australia. I want next.”
Deonna Purrazzo would love to wrestle Athena for the ROH Women’s World Championship
The Virtuosa also mentioned that she is yet to get her rematch for the ROH Women’s World title. Thus she would love to wrestle Athena at AEW All In Texas for the ROH Women’s World title.
“You know what? I would love to challenge for that. And I would also like to remind everybody that I never got a rematch after I lost the Ring of Honor Women’s World Championship. I would also like to remind everyone that championship was created basically in my image. You know? OG from 2015, ten years ago this July will be the rebirth of Women of Honor at the time. So, I think it would be a fairy tale ending to maybe wrestle Athena at All In. Two weeks before that ten year anniversary and recapture my AEW… AEW? Ring of Honor Women’s World Championship,” Deonna Purrazzo said.
