NXT is coming to Cincinnati.
On Tuesday, WWE announced a “special edition” of NXT will take place on February 25. The event will take place at The Andrew J. Brady Music Center in Cincinnati. This is the same venue that AEW just used for the ‘Maximum Carnage’ episodes of Dynamite and Collision on January 15 and 16. No other details about the “special edition” or show theme were announced at press time.
Tickets for the NXT Cincinnati event will go on sale via Ticketmaster on Friday, January 31 at 10 am ET/7 am PT. A special ticket pre-sale will go live on January 29 at 10 am ET/7 am PT. Fans can use the code NXTLIVE to gain access to the pre-sale.
NXT continues to go on the road, as the brand will be in Atlanta on Tuesday night. Next month, NXT Vengeance Day will take place in Washington, D.C. on February 15.
Ethan Page on NXT going on the road
Ethan Page spoke with WrestleZone ahead of NXT Deadline, which took place at The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
“I’m excited for Minnesota because I’ve wrestled for F1rst Wrestling in Minnesota and they’ve shown me how dedicated the Minnesota fans are. It used to be a really strong territory too, wrestling is a big part of Minnesota’s history. But I think the run that we’re on now and the talent we have going and the engagement with the fans, these venues are perfect. It’s the right amount of people coming to make the right amount of noise, the right atmosphere.”
Page wants to entertain everyone that he can, and said getting to see his friends around the country is nice, too. However, seeing more of the NXT Universe is also a bonus because the roster gets to see fans who aren’t used to seeing them live every week like when they’re in Orlando.
“And I’m happy we’re on the road because I want to see what people feel from watching the show. Doing the show in Orlando every single week, you almost become familiar with the faces you see in the audience. So it’s great to hit the road and get the reactions of people that have just been watching on television for however long they’ve been watching. It’s awesome to get their response and for them to let out what they’ve been feeling after watching our show.”
