Xavier Woods‘ own family turned on him on WWE RAW.
Woods was hoping for a special homecoming on the January 27th episode of WWE RAW. The show was held in Atlanta, Georgia; Woods, a Columbus native, wanted his family to be there to support him, and he got them front-row seats. His family was late to arrive, so his match against Rey Mysterio started without them.
During the bout, Woods saw his family was indeed at ringside. He went over to talk to them, and he expressed his frustration. They made it clear that they weren’t happy with him, as they revealed that they were wearing “New Day sucks” shirts. Lil Yachty was also nearby, and he was wearing one of the shirts as well. The distraction wound up costing Woods the match.
Like Woods, Kofi Kingston had some issues with his family; his mom refused to hug him on the December 23rd episode of WWE RAW.
