WWE Royal Rumble often features surprise appearances, as stars appear from injury and talent frequently return or debut during the battle royals. This year will be no different. WWE has already confirmed that Charlotte Flair will return from injury at the show. According to a new report, she might not be alone.
PWInsider Elite reports that WWE is hopeful that AJ Styles will be cleared in time for WWE Royal Rumble, so he would potentially be able to make his return at the event. The report notes that Styles is slated to be in Indianapolis, Indiana, the site of WWE Royal Rumble, on Saturday.
Styles has been out of action since he suffered a foot injury during his match against Carmelo Hayes on the October 4th episode of WWE SmackDown. WWE announced that he was dealing with a “mid foot ligament sprain”, and he has been sidelined ever since.
