Zayda Steel discusses the benefits of the WWE ID program.
Steel is one of the prospects who has been given a WWE ID designation as part of the WWE WWE Independent Development program, which the company said was designed to provide independent wrestlers with a potential pathway to a career in WWE.
Speaking on Casual Conversations with The Classic, Zayda Steel commented on being part of the WWE ID program.
“Honestly, it’s them shedding light on the indies,” Steel said. “Even if you followed the WWE ID on Twitter, the fact that they openly tweet out, a WWE account is tweeting out random indies in the middle of nowhere, it’s helping shed light to indies as well as us who are part of it. Also, I hope that other wrestlers who are following this feel now motivated and know okay, they are watching. If I wrestle someone who is part of the WWE ID, maybe someone in WWE is watching, like I have eyes on me or whatever the case may be, or oh, they’re watching Reality of Wrestling. Let me go wrestle there. Or oh, I’ve wrestled there. Maybe they have seen a match of mine. So it’s good all around for everyone.”
Zayda Steel On WWE ID Prospects Getting Feedback
Steel also stated that their matches were being watched, and they were getting feedback from “top people” in wrestling.
“Our matches are being watched. We just found out recently, they were like, ‘Oh, X-Pac can now watch your match and give you guys critiques.’ So him, Kenny Dykstra, who works closely with Triple H, he’s literally in the office, so we are getting feedback from top people so that’s another plus.”
Steel also said that she and some other prospects got to train at the WWE Performance Center.
