“Timeless” Toni Storm is back.
Storm had been absent since she lost the AEW Women’s World Championship to Mariah May at AEW All In, but she returned at AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming in December. Since then, she had adopted a new persona; rather than her “Timeless” character, she was acting as if she was a rookie who had just joined AEW. Storm won the Casino Gauntlet Match at AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage to earn a shot at May’s title at AEW Grand Slam: Australia.
May and Storm came face to face on the January 25th episode of AEW Collision. May attacked Storm and hit her with her title. The champion walked away, but Storm asked her what made her think that she had forgotten about her. Storm said that she would feel each star forever, but now it was her moment in the sun. She stated that the hardest role you would ever play was yourself. She then changed and revealed herself to be the “Timeless” Toni Storm fans had known.
Storm said the hardest role you would ever play was yourself, and she had the performance of a lifetime. She told May that she came from her womb, and she would shove her back up there and spit her out. She declared that she was “Timeless” Toni Storm.
