AEW Collision Results:
This week’s episode of AEW Collision kicks off with The Patriarchy, Toni Storm, Mariah May, and Samoa Joe hyping up tonight’s show.
Samoa Joe (w/ HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata) vs. Nick Wayne (w/ The Patriarchy)
- The finish of the match saw Samoa Joe hit Nick Wayne with the Muscle Buster to score the pinfall victory.
Winner: Samoa Joe
Grade: A-
This was just plain fun. Samoa Joe looked like he hasn’t missed any ring time at all and completely dominated Nick Wayne from beginning to end. I loved this. A great way to kick off tonight’s show.
The new age Mega Powers…?
A video package plays recapping Wednesday’s awesome segment between Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay.
Kazuchika Okada vs. Komander (w/ Alex Abrahantes)
- The finish of the match saw Kazuchika Okada hit Komander with the Rain Maker to score the pinfall victory.
Winner: Kazuchika Okada
After the match, Okada shakes Komander’s hand before attacking him from behind.
Grade: A-
This champion vs. champion match very much delivered to me. I wish Komander would be given matches on AEW that he could actually win on a more consistent basis, but no matter who AEW puts him in the ring with, he delivers every time. Okada is still riding a wave of momentum from the Continental Classic, and I’m curious to see what’s next for him in terms of an actual storyline.
Settle it in the parking lot!
In the parking lot of Daily’s Place, Powerhouse Hobbs and Big Bill meet up, and the two men brawl until they are separated by security.
Big Boom AJ and Big Justice are backstage with Lexy Nair. Before they can really say anything they are interrupted by The Undisputed Kingdom. Adam Cole does “The Boom” with AJ and Big Justice before making their way to the ring.
The Undisputed Kingdom vs. Daniel Garcia, Daddy Magic, and Cool Hand Ang
- The finish of the match saw Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong hit High Low on Cool Hand Ang. O’Reilly scored the pinfall victory for his team.
Winners: The Undisputed Kingdom
Shane Taylor Promotions, who were watching the match from the first row weren’t impressed. The two teams shook hands after the match.
Grade: B+
This was a fun match. It’s not really a surprise that The Undisputed Kingdom went over to give Daniel Garcia some new challengers in the coming weeks. I’m honestly more curious about the disappearance of Matt Taven and Mike Bennett. Where did they go? Are they not with the group anymore? I wish someone would explain this to me.
Max Caster wastes our time
We hear from Max Caster whining backstage about Anthony Bowens and Billy Gunn walking out on him last week. Caster says he wants to start an open challenge to prove he’s the best wrestler alive. As long as it involves him getting squashed every week, I’m all for it.
Top Flight and Leila Grey are backstage with Lexy Nair. Dante Martin is upset that Lio Rush and Action Andretti aren’t there. Darius Martin is upset with Dante for letting Lio Rush in the group in the first place. Darius challenges Lio to a match at some point in the future.
Mariah May and Toni Storm meet face-to-face
Tony Schiavone is in the ring and brings out AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May and Toni Storm. Mariah May says when she looks at her, she sees nothing and says she’s nothing. May says Storm is a joke and a meme. May says the fans laugh at her and then forget about her.
Mariah says she has never cared about Toni and she is just the easiest pawn she used to dominate the entire game. May says if she has to remind her again in Australia, so be it because she’ll get off humiliating her in her hometown.
Toni Storm says she’s Mariah’s biggest fan. Storm says she’s amazing and an inspiration. Storm says one day she wants to be just like Mariah and hugs her. May mockingly pets her before slapping her across the face. May clocks Storm with the title before whipping her with it.
Security and referees eventually get May off Storm and heads to the back. But Storm returns to her timeless persona and says she hasn’t forgotten and everything May has done to her she will feel forever. Storm says this is her moment in the sun and says this was her performance of a lifetime. Storm says she’s going to rip Mariah’s tits off. This segment ruled!
Brody King and Buddy Matthews (w/ Julia Hart) vs. Gates of Agony
- The finish of the match saw King and Matthews hit the double-team corner move on Bishop Kaun. Brody King scores the pinfall victory for his team.
Winners: Brody King and Buddy Matthews
Their new stable name is now confirmed as The Hounds of Hell.
Grade: B
This was a good match. I think I wanted more of a dominant win from King and Matthews in their first night with the new stable name, but it is what it is. At least they won. The fans seemed to enjoy it. I think I just wanted to see a bigger statement from them than what we got tonight.
Feel the wrath of Harley Cameron
Big Boom AJ and Big Justice are backstage with Lexy Nair and Harley Cameron. It looks like they are going to sing a song together but are interrupted by Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie who make fun of Cameron for not winning any matches on AEW. Purrazzo says she’ll win the four-way match and earn her title shot on Dynamite. That match is next.
Thunder Rose and Penelope Ford are backstage with Lexy Nair. Ford challenges Rosa to a future match. The two women trade insults back and forth. They don’t specifically reveal when this match will take place.
TBS Championship #1 Contender’s Match: Deonna Purrazzo vs. Queen Aminata vs. Yuka Sakazaki vs. Serena Deeb
- The finish of the match saw Harley Cameron get involved in the match which led to Yuka Sakazaki getting Deonna Purrazzo in a rollup to score the pinfall victory.
Winner: Yuka Sakazaki
Grade: B+
I enjoyed the match, and overall I thought it was good. But seriously… what is AEW doing with Deonna Purrazzo? She is literally one of the best women’s wrestlers on the planet and they aren’t utilizing her properly at all. I really don’t get what the company is doing with her and Taya right now. This is something they need to correct sooner rather than later.
Kazuchika Okada’s next challenger revealed?
The Hounds of Hell are backstage with Lexy Nair. Matthews says when these Hounds bark, they bark together. Kazuchika Okada is shown laughing off to the side, and he’s confronted by Matthews. Okada tells Buddy he barks like a bitch. Matthews tells him to put the Continental Championship on the line against him. Okada says no. Matthews says that must mean he’s the bitch then and walks away. An upset Okada yells that he’s no bitch.
Back from a commercial break, Big Bill is in the ring and calls out Powerhouse Hobbs. Hobbs comes out, and the two men brawl. Big Bill hits Hobbs with his backpack that he’s been carrying around tonight, and it was loaded with bricks. Bill takes a bloody Hobbs over the commentator’s table and hits him with a steel chair several times.
Big Bill tries to hit him in the head with a brick, but Hobbs kicks him low twice and hits him with a belly-to-belly suplex off the stage through some tables below.
A vignette airs featuring dinner with The Don Callis Family. Callis speaks on the new alliance between Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay. Callis teases a new member of the group.

Winner: And still International Champion, Konosuke Takeshita
Grade: A
Konosuke Takeshita and Don Callis celebrate as AEW Collision goes off the air.
AEW Collision Review:
The continued baffling booking of Deonna Purrazzo aside, this was an excellent episode of Collision. We had a lot of great matches and some good storyline advancement. The Toni Storm segment with Mariah May was fantastic.
This was a very strong episode of Collision; I hope we get more that feel like this in the weeks ahead.
Grade: A-
