WWE SmackDown saw an increase in viewership on January 24.
According to Wrestlenomics (via Programming Insider), SmackDown averaged 1.455 million viewers on Friday. The show drew a 0.44 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is up from last week’s episode when an average of 1.403 million viewers tuned in. The demo rating also rose from last week’s show (0.42 rating in the same demographic).
What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?
This week’s show kicked off with a promo from Cody Rhodes ahead of his contract signing with Kevin Owens at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
LA Knight defeated Tama Tonga. Knight was attacked by Jacob Fatu following the match before Braun Strowman made the save.
Elsewhere on the show, Motor City Machine Guns defeated Pretty Deadly and will get their rematch with DIY in a two out of three falls match at the Royal Rumble.
In the main event of the evening, Kevin Owens defeated Jimmy Uso. KO and Cody Rhodes brawled to end the show.
