Winner- Rhea Ripley
Grade: B-
This writer can admit they got him with the Annihilator false finish. IT had to be over, but expectations were immediately subverted when Jax idiot’d her way to losing this match. Both women came off looking like beasts as they tried to murder each other in the ring tonight. At this point, maybe Jax should end up on Raw. This writer wants to see more of these two.

Breakker and Sheamus immediately start trading punches. Breakker suplexes Sheamus. After hitting the ropes, Breakker destroys Sheamus with a lariat. Sheamus rolls out of the ring. Winner- Bron Breakker
Grade: B
Hard-hitting match. These two have faced off several times, but they have yet to have a bad outing. Breakker would always win this encounter, but watching these two clobber each other in the process is highly enjoyable.
WWE Championship Ladder Match Contract Signing
Rhodes and Owens stare each other down while HBK tells them he has a job to do and they need to sign the contract. Rhodes angrily signs. Owens looks at the contract briefly and picks up a mic instead. Owens says something Rhodes said last night pissed him off, and Rhodes is a lair. The crowd roars as Owens reminds Rhodes that he could have taken the easy way out during their title match when he didn’t use a weapon against Rhodes. Rhodes tells Owens enough. No one is here to listen to Owens talk. Owens promises to shut everyone up who says he isn’t the real champion.
Everything that Rhodes got when he came back is coming to Owens: the lights, the pyro, the fanfare. That’s what Owens has deserved in the last ten years, and he’s taking it back from Rhodes. HBK tells Owens that he sounds jealous. Owens says he’s bringing more prestige to the Winged Eagle title than HBK ever did. It’s no wonder that HBK would side with Rhodes. Owens reminds everyone that when things got tough for HBK, he quit just like Rhodes did. Owens signs the contract.

Owens cheapshots HBK and sets up a piledriver. Rhodes superkicks Owens. HBK gets to his feet and drops Owens with Sweet Chin Music.
Grade: A
We didn’t need any more reasons to be hyped for the championship ladder match at Royal Rumble… but here we are. Everything about this segment worked. Owens IS jealous, but that doesn’t mean he’s wrong. Rhodes hasn’t had this kind of fire in his voice since his feud with Seth Rollins a year back. Also, we got to see Owens get laid out by Sweet Chin Music. This was a great piece of business.
Braun Strowman vs. Jacob Fatu
Strowman and Fatu tear into each other. Fatu tosses Strowman out of the ring and assaults him outside the ring. Fatu launches Strowman over the commentary desk. Back in the ring, Fatu proceeds to land seven to eight running hip attacks in the corner. The referee tries to step in the way, but Fatu tosses him to the mat. Strowman is out. The referee disqualifies Fatu.
Winner- Braun Strowman
After the match, Fatu continues his assault. Fatu lands moonsault after moonsault. Strowman throws up blood all over the ring. Referees, officials, and even Tama Tonga try to break it up. Fatu is relentless.
Grade: A
Fatu just eviscerated a monster on live TV. That was amazing to watch.
World Heavyweight Championship Match: Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso
Jey lands a few strikes. Gunther cuts Jey off and works him over with power moves. Jey sets up a hip attack. Gunther floors him with a dropkick, followed by a powerbomb. Further into the match, Jey finally lands a superkick and several Spears. Uso Splash by Jey. Gunther kicks out. Gunther counters a Spear into a powerbomb. Gunther immediately hits another powerbomb for the win.
Winner- Gunther
Grade: B
Great match. Jey showed he could hang with the Ring General. Gunther had to dig deep into his bag to put Jey away, which was a bit of a surprising turn.
