Bron Breakker had so much fun teaming with Baron Corbin in NXT.
The pair tagged together in 2024, to great success. As the Wolf Dogs, they won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and the NXT Tag Team Championships, putting on some great matches in the process.
With Baron Corbin now released from the WWE, Bron Breakker has reflected on teaming with him in the Wolf Dogs in NXT.
The Intercontinental Champion spoke with the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast, where he said teaming with Corbin was “so much much”. He explained how the pair were good friends backstage and enjoyed showing that side of them on screen.
He called it “special” for both men, claiming they both brought out a new side in the other one.
“That was so much fun, man, I mean it. It was just… it was a cool time for both of us because I got to introduce a different side of my character that we hadn’t seen before—a bit more funny, you know, a side that people could really learn to like.” said Bron Breakker.
“And, you know, he had been in a tag team role with a bunch of people before, but I feel like our chemistry—his and mine—was something special. We were already friends backstage, always messing around and goofing off, so that chemistry was there from the start.”
“When we finally got to put it on screen, it was just great. I had so much fun, and I know he did too. We just clicked. We bounced off each other so well, and it brought out a new side of me that people hadn’t seen before. He was doing the same thing, showing something fresh. Honestly, it was special for both of us at the time.” Bron Breakker said.
Baron Corbin will have a new name moving forward, as he recently explained the meaning behind the new moniker.
