London Mayor Sadiq Khan really wants to host a future WrestleMania and he isn’t giving up on making that a reality.
There hasn’t been a ton of news as of late regarding the chances that London could host a future WrestleMania premium live event. While Sadiq Khan spoke glowingly of a meeting with Triple H last year, nothing has come to fruition of the two sides making WWE‘s biggest event happening overseas.
Despite that, citizens of London should have some renewed hope today as a spokesman of Mayor Khan shared the following statement today with the Daily Star.
“London has great pedigree in hosting the biggest international sporting events from around the globe,” a spokeperson for Mayor Khan said. “The Mayor remains determined to bring even more sports from around the world to London, including the first international WrestleMania hosted by the UK, and continues to discuss future opportunities. The Mayor wants to cement London’s reputation as the undisputed sporting capital of the world, as we work together to build a better London for everyone.”
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on future WrestleMania locations as it becomes available.
