Alexa Bliss was reportedly set to return on WWE RAW, but those plans have been put on hold.
Alexa Bliss has been absent from WWE programming since WWE Royal Rumble 2023. She announced her pregnancy and welcomed her daughter into the world later in 2023. Bliss later said that she would return to WWE, and she has teased her comeback multiple times. She has dealt with some health issues, including skin cancer removal, preeclampsia, and postpartum health complications. Bliss has also said that the timing of her return is not up to her.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that the plans for Alexa Bliss’ expected return are currently “off the table.” Per Johnson, WWE creative has been told to put all plans for her “on hold indefinitely.”
Johnson writes that Bliss was set to return at the WWE RAW taping in San Jose on January 13th, and a storyline with The Wyatt Sicks had been pitched as part of it. However, creative was told to “drop all plans” for Bliss right before the event. The report notes that creative plans were not an issue, and Bliss was ready to return. However, the company halted the plans. Johnson cites one source who believed that it may be a contract issue, but other sources claim they did not know where the issue could be.
Furthermore, Johnson writes that Bliss is not featured in any creative pitches for the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
