Natalya believes The New Day‘s heat with the WWE Universe only rivals that of Dominik Mysterio.
WWE Superstar Natalya recently sat down with the Toronto Sun. While discussing Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods turning on Big E, Nattie believes New Day have developed “Dom heat.”
“With New Day, I never as a viewer and a fan expected Xavier and Kofi to turn on Big E the way that they did. Because they had always touted that they were such close friends. It was such a close bond. Kofi has gone on the record in interviews and said, I can’t ever see us not being together. We always have to be a team. The second that we’re not a team is when I don’t know if I could continue sort of thing.
“And then all of a sudden you see them turn on E, and it had the entire world rallying for Big E and turned on Kofi and Woods to the point where they had DOM heat. Literally, I said that when I was watching like they got DOM heat. Kofi and Woods couldn’t even get a word out because the fans were so upset with them.
“And when you see them backstage, and you see them try to talk to Rey Mysterio and talk to us. I remember being in a segment where they walked by in the hallway and they were trying to shake our hands, and myself and the Alpha Academy were like, nope, we’re not shaking your hands. People understand that they could relate to it. They could resonate with that betrayal, with their close friend that they just basically walked away from.”
