Moose showed his respect for Rick Rude at TNA Genesis.
In a tweet, Moose highlighted how he paid tribute to Rick Rude at TNA Genesis, as he wore gear that was inspired by the legend. He wrote, “Always respect the ones that paved the way,” and he used the hashtag “GREATESTICCHAMPOFALLTIME”.
Moose successfully defended the TNA X-Division Championship against Ace Austin at TNA Genesis, and he unveiled a new title belt.
Eric Young On Moose
Eric Young previously praised Moose while speaking with WrestleZone. He called Moose a savant and said he was a great athlete.
“I think for me, one of my really special ones is me and Moose in Canada,” he said. “It’s about 15 minutes from where I grew up, so I had a lot of friends and family there,” Young explained. “It’s for the World Title, and obviously I came up short. But sharing the ring with a guy like him, I mean, I said in promos leading up to it, ‘I think when it is all set and done, he’s going to be one of the best to ever do it.’ A bit of a savant when it comes to it and he just understands it on a [different] level. And obviously, physically opposing, and one of the best athletes to ever do it. And that’s a long list. It’s a really long list. That’s probably my favorite one coming back.”
