Chelsea Green ‘Gets The Ick’ About Her WWE Entrance

Chelsea Green gets candid about her entrance introduction that was first coined by former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin.

WWE Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green recently sat down with Alistair McGeorge of Metro. When asked about re-recording her entrance theme to mimic Samantha Irvin’s ring introduction for her, Green says she understands why some people are ick about it.

“When they told me I had to re-record my entrance theme and I had to do the ‘Chelsea Green,’ that’s something you will now be hearing on Friday nights, and that is very cringe-worthy,” Chelsea Green admitted. “Anyone who gets the ick, just know I got the ick first while I was recording. Every time in my entrance, I still am like, ‘Oh, I hate that’. It’s my voice, but that’s just me. I can’t watch myself. I can’t listen to myself. That is just totally a me problem. I should probably go to therapy for that.”

Despite that, Green would go on to admit that when she went without that particular introduction for a few weeks it felt like a chunk of her wrestling soul was taken away from her.

“When I lost that entrance for a few weeks, if not two months, it took a little chunk of my soul away from me, my wrestling soul,” Chelsea Green admitted. “Imagine if we took away ‘Yeah’ from LA Knight. I’m not saying he’s left with nothing. He’s still a talented WWE superstar with so much going for him. But it’s him, and for me, that is me, that obnoxious entrance and arrival and everything in the name. It’s me to a tee.”
