The Rock shares his thoughts on working with Ethan Page.
Page and The Rock had an on-screen interaction at NXT New Year’s Evil. “The Final Boss” told Page he would see him on the main roster one day.
Page recently appeared on Busted Open Radio, and he discussed having the opportunity to work with The Rock.
“I’ll tell you exactly how I felt—I literally told him, too,” Page said. “I started wrestling when I was 16 years old, and I always envisioned Ethan Page on screen with The Rock. That was my ultimate goal, number one on my bucket list. I skipped an entire line of goals to reach my top goal and checked it off.
“I got to tell him face-to-face that I accomplished it. On top of that, I showed him what I bring to the table and how talented I am. At the end of the day, that’s the man who’s in charge of the future of my career.”
The Rock responded to a clip of the interview on Instagram and commented on working with Page.
“I like Ethan a lot- talented cat with tons of potential,” he wrote. “We had a great chat after the show and here’s what I loved most (despite his appropriate heel character answer here;) was his humility and gratitude. Very coachable too when we were shooting our scene, and that showed me A LOT.”
