While we’ve seen a lot of Dustin Rhodes in Ring of Honor as of late, Tony Schiavone would prefer to see him on Dynamite and Collision instead.
On the latest episode of What Happened When with Tony Schiavone, the All Elite Wrestling commentator spoke about Dustin Rhodes recently re-signing with the company and what he’d like to see from him in the coming months.
“Well, he’s gonna have to bleed, knowing Dustin. But I would think that something on Dynamite involving Hangman Adam Page or getting a shot against the world champion, something like that,” Tony Schiavone said. “Realistically, if you think about it, Dustin had one of the better matches ever in AEW when he and Cody wrestled at Double or Nothing.
“So his status in AEW is pretty much solidified. As a coach, he does a hell of a job, and I would like to see him get a little run on Dynamite and/or Collision, other than just Ring of Honor.” [H/T: Fightful]
While Rhodes hasn’t competed on AEW programming since the September 21 episode of Collision where he and Sammy Guevara successfully defended the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Titles against The Kingdom, Rhodes did appear in a backstage segment with Jeff Jarrett on this week’s episode of Dynamite.
