CJ Perry has undergone successful surgery, the former WWE and AEW star revealed in a social media post.
The former manager and wrestler was released by AEW in July last year and has not been seen in the wrestling world since. She recently teased a return to WWE; Perry had a memorable run in the company as Lana.
However, an undisclosed medical issue has forced CJ Perry into surgery, as she revealed in a social media post. She posted a video of herself in the hospital bed just before surgery on Twitter, asking fans to pray for her.
“Hey guys I’m going into surgery right now, please say your prayers for me.” CJ Perry said in her video on Twitter, while she thanked Dr. Chan in the caption for the post.
“Going into surgery @CedarsSinai thank you Dr. Chan”
She made a second post nine hours later, revealing that the surgery had been a success. CJ Perry showed a photo of her in her hospital bed post-surgery, thanking everyone for their support.
“Made it out of surgery. Thank you all” She wrote.
This isn’t the first time she has been in surgery in recent years. In early 2024, she struggled with an MRSA infection that started in her finger and spread up her arm.
Perry required surgery and was put on a drip as antibiotics stopped working to contain the infection.
WrestleZone wishes CJ Perry well in her recovery, and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
