Corey Graves took to social media this past week and expressed dissatisfaction with his move to NXT‘s announcing team, but he has now deleted the posts.
After teasing that he had something to say on NXT’s broadcast, Graves was nowhere to be found on Tuesday, and he has since deleted any and all posts on social media that referenced both the NXT appearance, as well as his unhappiness with the move.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that although the posts seemed like a work, Graves was genuinely unhappy with the situation, and he has been voicing his displeasure about it privately over the past week.
Johnson also writes that no announcement about Corey Graves’ status was made internally at NXT, beyond word spreading that he would not be working the January 14th taping. The report also notes that there is no word on Graves’ status in WWE or on the NXT brand as of this writing.
This week, Graves took to Twitter to reflect on how he had found a new career adjacent to what he described as his dream job. He then implied that he was told that he was “famous enough” for that job. The comments seemingly refer to both Pat McAfee and Joe Tessitore, who took over as lead co-announcers for both Monday Night RAW and SmackDown.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
