The situation surrounding Omair Palmer (Odyssey Jones) continues to evolve.
Palmer was released by WWE amid domestic violence allegations in September. He recently released a video addressing the allegations. On January 13th, POST Wrestling reported that Palmer was granted an order of protection against his ex-partner, as he alleged that he was the target of harassment and threats.
In an update, Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling reports that the former partner of Palmer alleges that he physically abused her, and she detailed her claims in a police report in 2024. Additionally, she discussed her allegations with POST Wrestling.
Per Thurston, the police report was filed with the Maitland Police Department on May 23rd, 2024, and the ex-partner alleged that she was the victim of battery. In the report, she claimed that Palmer became “extremely angry” after he learned that she texted another man. The ex-partner claimed that Palmer “threw items, grabbed her, and slammed her to the floor twice.”
More Details About The Allegations
The police report showed photos of bruises on her shoulders and both legs, and she alleged that Palmer caused them. Palmer denied the allegations in the report, and he claimed that he threw objects around the apartment when he got upset, but he denied throwing anything at her. In the report, Palmer stated that neither of them became physical.
POST Wrestling spoke with the ex-partner, who said, “He got upset over me texting someone and started throwing me around along with household items and my personal belongings.”
Furthermore, Thurston writes that the Orange County State Attorney’s Office confirmed that the case is still under review, and there has not been a decision as to whether they will formally press charges.
Additionally, the ex-partner alleges that there were additional incidents of abuse on a cruise; she alleged that Palmer threatened to break their phones and said that she “wasn’t going anywhere”, as the trip was already planned.
“I told him I saw where this was going and I was going to leave because things were not going to go good on the cruise. It was repeated behavior so I saw it coming. He told me to sit my ass down and calm down, that we were leaving the following morning for the trip,” she told POST.
The ex-partner then alleged that the abuse continued, and Palmer caused her to suffer a concussion, and that he threw one of her phones into the sea. She also alleged that Palmer “bashed me against the walls in the cabin a few times because I was leaving the room. I had bruises all over my body.”
The ex-partner denied the claims of violence, harassment, and threats that Palmer made in his petition. Thurston writes that the Maitlan Police Department said that the police report that Palmer said that he filed, alleging stalking, does not exist.
“Omari twisted the story to benefit him and told his lawyer a bunch of lies which clearly were not backed up by evidence,” Palmer’s ex-partner said.
Ex-Partner Says WWE Conducted Its Own Investigation
Palmer’s ex-partner said that WWE conducted its own investigation into the claims and went on to release Palmer in September 2024. She expressed her gratitude to WWE for taking her allegations seriously and stated that WWE contacted her about the matter.
Palmer’s ex-partner then elaborated on her claims while speaking with POST Wrestling.
“He begged me to forgive him every time. It’s like two people live in one body,” she said. “He put me through so much mental anguish,” she claimed. “No one knows what happens behind closed doors. He would have violent outbursts and increasingly erratic frustration periods and take them out on me.”
“I used to feel bad for Omari and hoped he would change his erratic behavior and abusive ways towards me. He portrays [himself] to be someone else to the public, to his fans, to his parents. No one knows a lot of the things I’ve kept quiet and endured,” Palmer’s ex-partner told us. “I wanted to protect him and love him but it reached a point where enough was enough.”
Palmer then responded on social media and stated that the claims were false. He wrote that he would be taking legal action, and more information would come out in court.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
