Tony Khan believes AEW is getting healthy at the right time with the returns of big names like Cope and Kenny Omega.
All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan was a recent guest on The Battleground Podcast. When asked about Adam Copeland’s surprise return at Worlds End, Khan said Cope’s injury was a huge hit to the company last year and how great it is to have him back.
“We’ve had the return on AEW of The Rated R Superstar Adam Copeland. It’s really great to have Cope back in AEW, and that’s been something very special,” Tony Khan said. “Adam Copeland, we saw he’s been clashing with the Death Riders, clashing with Jon Moxley. I think it’s great having him back here. He was a great, great two-time TNT Champion.
“It was a huge hit to the company when Adam Copeland broke his leg jumping off the steel cage in a great, great match at Double or Nothing. He’s been out for most of the last year. And that was a great, great surprise for AEW to end 2024 with the return of Adam Copeland, and like you said, to have the return of Kenny Omega. These are huge, huge lifts to the company.”
