Richard Holliday had some good conversations with Tony Khan during his recent appearance in AEW.
The MLW star made his first appearance in AEW in 2024. Richard Holliday teamed with Alec Price in a defeat to La Faccion Ingobernable on Rampage in December. He also wrestled Serpentico in a dark match in December, in what was the wrestler’s last AEW appearance.
He was a former teammate of MJF in The Dynasty in MLW, which could help him get a move to AEW in the near future. Holliday spoke with Fightful and discussed his dealings with Tony Khan. He confirmed he had been in contact with the AEW President, revealing they had a similar mindset for the business. He did not confirm anything about his future. However, he said that the pair had “good conversations” together.
“I’ve had some very good conversations with Tony Khan.” Richard Holliday said. “He’s a great guy. We seem to get along. We have kind of a similar mindset in terms of like, maybe, potential direction or anything. I don’t want to get too deep into that, but I’ve had good conversations with him, which is good. It’s always good to have conversations with people like that.”
Richard Holliday Thanks Alicia Atout For Being There For Him After He Was Concussed
Richard Holliday has had some scary moments take place inside the squared circle.
One of the biggest matches in Holliday’s MLW career was a Falls Count Anywhere match against Alex Hammerstone. During the match, Holliday suffered a concussion and collapsed in the ring.
The current WTF Superstar was recently interviewed by Alicia Atout for her YouTube Channel. During the video, Holliday recalled the moment he suffered a concussion and made it a point to mention that Atout stayed with him afterward and never left his side.
“I remember that match vividly. I definitely got concussed. But it was mild,” Holliday revealed. “And it wasn’t to the point where I wasn’t able to remember everything. And I remember getting put in Gorilla Position on a mattress and laying there, and you never left my side.
“You were so awesome! And then, once we left that night, I never really had a chance to properly thank you other than over the phone or text message or anything like that. Because after that night, I went away. For however long it was, about a year.”
