Booker T thinks Roxanne Perez is ready to be called up to the main roster but does not want to put pressure on the former NXT Women’s Champion.
The WWE Hall of Famer trained the NXT star at his wrestling school. He is thrilled to see her flourish into a top women’s champion in WWE. Roxanne Perez has proven how good she is so far in NXT. However, Booker T doesn’t want to say either definitively if it’s her time to get called up to Raw or Smackdown.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame Podcast, Booker T spoke about Roxanne Perez. He said that he’s not willing to say whether its time for her to go to the main roster to not add pressure to her. However, he said that she was ready to make the jump. He could not wait to see it happen but didn’t want to pressure the young star.

“I’m not going to say it’s time for the main roster, and I’m not going to say it’s not time. You know, the time is going to be when she goes there — that’s the way I look at it.” Booker T said.
“Just because I don’t want to put any pressure on Roxanne Perez, I tell all of them, when they go from NXT to the main roster, it’s just different. You’re going to be working — it’s a total, total difference between what you did on NXT and what you’ll be doing on the main roster from a global travel perspective on a regular basis. You’ve got to be ready for that.”
“So, for her, I just want her to be ready. Do I think she’s ready right now? Yeah, I think she’s ready. But I wouldn’t necessarily say, “Man, let’s pull the trigger on it right now.” Then again, I wouldn’t hesitate if I had something for her. I think when she does get to the main roster, she’s going to shock and amaze because she works so much bigger than she actually is. She rises to the level of her opponent. I just can’t wait to see it when it happens.”
