Rey Fenix’s website has been pulled from AEW’s official website.
Fenix has been absent from AEW programming since July, and he has not wrestled since the CMLL event on July 26th. He then sparked some buzz in some deleted tweets, as he claimed that he needed a doctor, but he was ignored for months. Fenix also wrote that no one would stay in a place where they received “inhumane treatment.”
AEW reportedly added injury time to Fenix’s contract, and AEW learned of the alleged talks between Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo and WWE. Penta left AEW when his contract expired on December 1, and he made his WWE debut on January 13th.
On ShopAEW.com, Rey Fenix’s name is still part of the AEW roster. However, Fenix’s page leads to an error message, and his merchandise is no longer listed. As noted, this comes one day after Penta’s WWE debut.
As of this writing, there is no word on when or if Rey Fenix will return to AEW programming. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
