TJPW revealed the full lineup for the fifth annual “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament featuring 12 tag teams. The following teams will compete in this year’s tag team tournament:
- Yoshiko Hasegawa & Kaya Toribami
- Yuki Aino & Raku
- Mifu Ashida & Chika Nanase
- Pom Harajuku & Max The Impaler
- Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao
- Miu Watanabe & Uta Takami
- Mahiro Kiryu & Haruna Neko
- HIMAWARI & Shino Suzuki
- Suzume & Arisu Endo
- Ivy Steele & Kira Summer
- Haru Kazashiro & Toga
- Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara
Sayuri Namba, TJPW’s ring announcer, then decided the bracketology via a draw lots system on TJPW’s official YouTube channel on Tuesday, January 14.
From the video, the full bracketology for the tournament was determined. The following matches will take place in the first round of the TJPW Max Heart Tournament 5 scheduled for Saturday, January 18:
- Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara vs. Arisu Endo & Suzume
- Miu Watanabe & Uta Takami vs. Pom Harajuku & Max The Impaler
- Haru Kazashiro & Toga vs. Ivy Steele & Kira Summer
- Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao vs. Mifu Ashida & Chika Nanase
The remaining teams receive a bye directly to the second round. TJPW’s Max Heart Tournament finals will take place at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo on Saturday, February 8.
