A new report provides an update on Tyler Bate, who has been sidelined in recent months.
Bate last wrestled on the July 2 episode of WWE NXT, where he and Pete Dunne beat Hank Walker and Tank Ledger. He subsequently announced on July 9 that he underwent surgery for a torn pectoral major and tendon.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Tyler Bate is “extremely close” to returning from his injury. Johnson notes that Bate is expected to return to the RAW brand once he is cleared to compete, which could be anytime now.
Leading into his injury, Bate had been competing on NXT alongside his tag team partner, Pete Dunne. He moved to the main roster in January 2024. After initially joining WWE SmackDown, he shifted over to RAW in the 2024 WWE Draft.
Tyler Bate is a former NXT United Kingdom Champion, NXT Tag Team Champion, and NXT UK Tag Team Champion. He also held the NXT UK Heritage Cup.
