WWE has seemingly confirmed the debut of Penta, as the company is already selling his merchandise.
Vignettes for the luchador have aired on WWE RAW in recent weeks. The teasers have heavily teased that he is coming to WWE imminently. Chad Gable is set to face a mystery luchador on the January 13 episode of WWE RAW, and Penta is widely expected to be his opponent.
WWE Shop advertised the new merchandise on social media with a picture of Penta himself.
WWE is currently selling Penta shirts and a replica mask, which can be found here. It is unclear why WWE is advertising his merchandise before his official debut, but it’s safe to say that Penta is indeed coming to WWE.
Triple H also addressed the identity of Gable’s opponent during the RAW on Netflix debut post-show press conference. While discussing Chad Gable’s opponent, Triple H said “I’m sure you’ve already figured it out,” in regards to the competitor’s identity.
Penta left AEW when his contract expired in December. He has been linked to WWE for months, and he claimed that they were in contact. During his time with AEW, he won the AEW World Tag Team Championship and the AEW World Trios Championship. He also held the ROH World Tag Team Championship.
