Sami Zayn Highlights What WWE Means To Him On An Emotional Level

Sami Zayn reveals what the WWE means to him, emotionally.

The WWE Superstar was on hand on Raw’s debut on Netflix to help out the OG Bloodline. He ran in to help Roman Reigns beat Solo Sikoa, cementing him as the Tribal Chief in WWE.

Sami Zayn spoke with Team JVS at the Raw on Netflix Premiere and was asked what the WWE means to him on an emotional level. Zayn spoke about how art grows with you and that it means something else as you age through life. He also added that everybody has a different answer to that question.

“I remember growing up watching wrestling with my father, so I have special memories there, of course. But the beautiful thing about great art—whether it’s like the Beatles or something else—is that, depending on when you fall in love with it, if it’s really good, it ages with you.” Sami Zayn said.

“What it means to you as a kid, when you’re five, like you said about watching with your grandfather, is not what it means to you now as an adult—or what it meant to you as a teenager. Great art, or great connections with anything artistic—bands, wrestling, whatever it is—if it’s truly great and connects with you on a deep level, it evolves with you.”

“What it means to you is always changing. And what it means to me right now is obviously changing, because I’m at the center of all of this. It’s crazy, you know? But I think it’s beautiful. The fact that wrestling means anything to anybody is beautiful.” Sami Zayn said, additionally.

“It’s awesome. I don’t know, man—it just changes. And I think that’s another part of the beauty of it: everyone has a different answer to that question. I mean, that’s life. It’s not just wrestling or art—it’s life. Everybody has their own special meaning to a given thing.”
