Matt Riddle won the gold at MLW Kings of Colosseum.
At MLW Kings of Colosseum, Matt Riddle defeated Satoshi Kojima to win the MLW World Heavyweight Championship. In doing so, he won the title for the first time.
Riddle previously earned a title shot by winning MLW Battle Riot VI.
Kojima held the title for 344 days; he defeated Alex Kane to win the gold at MLW SuperFight 2024.
Matt Riddle returned to MLW at MLW Kings of Colosseum 2024, where he beat Jacob Fatu. This came a few months after his WWE release in September 2023. During his time in WWE, Riddle held the WWE United States Championship and the RAW Tag Team Championship, among other accolades.
Since he left WWE, he also had a brief run in NJPW, where he won the NJPW World Television Championship. He has also wrestled for AAA, where he won the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship.
