AJ Styles provided a brief comment on his recovery from the injury he suffered in October.
Styles returned to WWE programming on the October 4 episode of WWE SmackDown. There, he suffered an injury in his match against Carmelo Hayes, and the bout was stopped abruptly. WWE subsequently announced that Styles had suffered a “mid foot ligament sprain”, also known as a Lisfranc injury. Styles later responded to a fan who wrote that his injury was fake, and he noted that he was “cooked.” Details about Styles’ recovery have been sparse, leaving the timeframe for his recovery unclear.
On January 10th, a fan on Twitter asked AJ Styles to comment on his recovery and when he might return. He simply responded by writing, “I’ll be honest, this injury is challenging.”
WrestleZone wishes AJ Styles well in his recovery, and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
