WWE is reportedly looking to have some past Royal Rumble winners appear at the 2025 Premium Live Event next month.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE has discussed bringing in Ric Flair and Hacksaw Jim Duggan to appear at the 2025 Royal Rumble event.
The reason for that is that both Flair and Duggan are former Royal Rumble winners. Duggan won the first-ever Rumble event back in 1988, with Flair winning four years later. It’s unknown what other winners WWE might be considering right now.
The Nature Boy’s Rumble win was also unique as it was the first time the Royal Rumble winner would be rewarded with the then-vacant WWE Championship.
Flair most recently appeared for All Elite Wrestling in 2024. His last appearance was for Sting’s last match at Revolution when he and Darby Allin defeated the Young Bucks to retain the AEW World Tag Team Titles.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on potential Rumble surprises as they become available.
