AEW Dynamite Viewership Increases On 1/8, Demo Also Rises

AEW Dynamite saw an increase in viewership on January 8.

According to Wrestlenomics, 615,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and the show drew a 0.17 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is up from last week’s episode when 588,000 viewers tuned in. The demo is also up from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.16 rating in the same demographic.

Viewership for Wednesday’s show on MAX is unknown at this time.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with Will Ospreay defeating Buddy Matthews in singles competition.

Powerhouse Hobbs won the Men’s Casino Gauntlet match and will face Jon Moxley next week on Dynamite for the AEW World Championship.

Kris Statlander won a three-way match over Toni Storm and Willow Nightingale to get the number one spot in the Women’s Casino Gauntlet match next week.

The close of the show saw the return of Kenny Omega. Omega is interrupted by Don Callis and is attacked by the Don Callis Family, Ospreay comes out to save Omega to end the show.
