Triple H calls WWE‘s move to Netflix “a great reset”.
The WWE RAW on Netflix premiere marked the beginning of a new era for WWE, as the company is now streaming on the global platform. Leading into the premiere, Triple H, Nick Khan, and WWE stars highlighted the impact of the move. Now, Triple H has commented on how the move is a reset for the company.
Joe Otterson of Variety spoke with Triple H about the WWE RAW on Netflix premiere, and the WWE Chief Content Officer noted that he viewed WWE’s Netflix era as “a great reset.” He highlighted the global reach of Netflix.
“There’s a moment when we go on the air where we’re accessible to 280 million homes globally,” he said. “Multiply that by three for people in the homes, right? That’s a massive number. That is a game changer.”
Triple H On Social Media
Triple H also commented on how WWE used video recaps on social media for the top matches on the show.
“What is the watercooler now? It’s TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat,” he said. “If those things tell you there’s something you should go watch — and you don’t have to tune in Monday night at 8 p.m. exactly; you can go check it out on Netflix — that’s really cool. Then once they check it out, now we’re pulling them into being a fan.”
