Brie Bella reveals her childhood crush.
Growing up, many professional wrestling fans found themselves charmed by former Divas Champions Nikki and Brie Bella. In the case of Brie Bella, her eyes were drawn to someone outside of the pro wrestling realm.
During a recent appearance on We Got Time Today, Brie revealed her first celebrity crush to be former NFL cornerback and co-host of the Tubi Original talk show Deion Sanders.
“It was actually middle school, and it was you, Deion,” Brie told Sanders. “You were my first celebrity crush.”
“I was looking through a box of my childhood photos because I’m like, I need to find the picture of me and Deion’s jersey,” Brie continued. “But my grandfather [was a] full-blooded Italian from South Philly, so we’re die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fans. And it was very hard on my family because they’re like, ‘Wait, she has Deion Sanders Dallas Cowboy jersey.’ And the fact that you were my crush could have got me kicked out of the family.”
When asked what made Sanders crushable to her, Brie Bella pointed to his “bad boy attitude.” She additionally noted that a poster on Sanders hung on her bedroom wall alongside those of music legends Shania Twain and Gwen Stefani.
Sanders spent 14 seasons in the National Football League, five of which came with the Dallas Cowboys. Elsewhere, Sanders also played for the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins, and Baltimore Ravens. He was one of the top stars in the league, and he became a two-time Super Bowl Champion. In 2022, he was hired as the head coach of the University of Colorado Boulder.
