John Cena Partners With McDonald’s To Launch New McValue Menu

John Cena has teamed up with McDonald’s.

Cena and McDonald’s have partnered for the introduction of the fast-food chain’s new McValue menu, which includes the $5 Meal Deal, local food and drink deals, in-app offers, including free medium fries with a $1 purchase every Friday in 2025, and a free McCrispy chicken sandwich for new users). Additionally, there will be a buy one, add one for $1 offer on various breakfast, lunch, and dinner items.

Erin Clements of PEOPLE spoke with the 16-time world champion, who noted that he’s lovin’ it.

“McDonald’s is a global phenomenon, a slice of Americana and certainly has been a major part of my life with food ever since I can remember anything about food,” Cena said.

Cena also noted that his go-to McDonald’s order is two double cheeseburgers and two six-piece Chicken McNuggets. He said that he usually doesn’t have a drink because he wants to “enjoy the savoriness” of the meal.

As for breakfast, John Cena said that he usually opted for a McGriddle or an Egg McMuffin. However, he admitted that he was a “sucker” for McDonald’s hash browns.

John Cena On His McDonald’s Journey

For Cena, McDonald’s isn’t just a fast-food chain; it’s a source of emotion and nostalgia that dates back to his childhood.

“I’ve had such a journey with McDonald’s over the almost 48 years I’ve been on Earth,” Cena said. “Anything on their menu can evoke a certain range of emotions and they’re all good ones. “Coming from a family of five, man, we would do Happy Meal swaps, and toy swaps, and there was a phase where Happy Meals came with, like, Transformers that started out as a McDonald’s shake, and then transformed into a robot, started out as a burger and then transformed into a robot.”

Specifically, John Cena made it clear that the Big Mac was extra special to him. He recalled how he used to think it was an insurmountable sandwich.

“Man, tasting that Big Mac was something special,” he said. “I think because as a kid, I always thought it to be an insurmountable sandwich, and then I guess as a teenager being able to lean into be big enough to order the Big Mac.”

Additionally, Cena said that he often had his double cheeseburger and McNugget order while he was on the road during his time in WWE.
