Two title matches have been confirmed for NJPW Battle in the Valley on January 11th.
As confirmed at NJPW New Year Dash!, El Desperado will defend the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship against Taiji Ishimori. Ishimori won the Lucha Gauntlet Match at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty by pinning El Desperado. El Desperado was named the new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19. His match against DOUKI, the reigning champion, was stopped due to injury.
Plus, Konosuke Takeshita will defend the NEVER Openweight Championship against KUSHIDA. Takeshita won the title by beating Shingo Takagi at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19. He defended the gold against Tomohiro Ishii at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty. Takeshita later said that he wanted to put the title on the line against KUSHIDA.

- IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship: El Desperado (c) vs. Taiji Ishimori
