New IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions were crowned at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19.
The opening match on the main card saw the Intergalactic Jet Setters (Kevin Knight and KUSHIDA) defend the titles against the Ichiban Sweet Boys (Robbie Eagles and Kosei Fujita), Catch 2/2 (Franceso Akira and TJP), and the Bullet Club War Dogs (Dan Moloney and Clark Connors) in a Tokyo Terror Ladder Match. In the end, Eagles and Fujita emerged victorious and won the titles. Fujita and Akira battled at the top of the ladder in the closing moments, and Fujita grabbed the titles.
Fujita and Eagles earned a title shot by winning the Super Junior Tag League in 2024.
KUSHIDA and Knight won the titles by beating Moloney and Connors at NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling in October.
Eagles previously held the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship with Tiger Mask, while this marks Fujita’s first reign.
