Report: WWE Royal Rumble 2026 To Be Held In Saudi Arabia

WWE Royal Rumble is reportedly coming to Saudi Arabia.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble will be held in Saudi Arabia, per multiple WWE sources. This will mark the first time that the event will be held outside of the United States since it became a pay-per-view in 1989. The 1988 event aired on USA Network, and it was held in Canada.

Johnson writes that the deal to bring WWE Royal Rumble to Saudi Arabia is locked in. An official announcement could come as soon as the WWE RAW on Netflix premiere on January 6.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) subsequently confirmed the news and wrote that this was the working plan. He reported that Riyadh was set to be the host.

More Details

WWE’s 10-year deal with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia runs through 2028. The partnership has expanded in recent years. WWE held two television tapings in Saudi Arabia in 2024, and the WWE Experience launched.

In May 2024, Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, stated that they were talking about an “enhancement” to WWE’s deal with Saudi Arabia, and he wanted to host WWE Royal Rumble and/or WrestleMania.

“We are talking in the future about WrestleMania and Royal Rumble. We are talking around ’26, ’27,” he said on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
