Drew McIntyre Appears On WWE SmackDown

Drew McIntyre appeared on the January 3 episode of WWE SmackDown, and he tried to convince Cody Rhodes to let him help him..

McIntyre interrupted Rhodes during the start to the three-hour episode of SmackDown tonight. In using the transfer window to appear on the show, McIntyre gave Rhodes a ug, who looked just as shocked as the rest of the audience.

Drew McIntyre said that he has no issues with Rhodes, and he was actually there to help him. Since Rhodes is the “QB” of the WWE, McIntyre said, Rhodes needs someone who will watch his back.

McIntyre went on to say that he simply wanted to help Rhodes, and that the rest of WWE was essentially mocking him, by not only not medically clearing him to wrestle, but allowing Kevin Owens to walk around and pretend to be champion. It was a harsh truth Rhodes needed to hear, McIntyre said, but Rhodes quickly followed up with his own truths, saying he didn’t need any help, and he would defend himself all on his own.

As McIntyre went to leave the ring, he told Rhodes he should really be watching his back, and an irate Rhodes didn’t realize Kevin Owens was sneaking up behind him. Owens attacked Rhodes from behind, kicking off a brawl between the two that needed to be stopped by WWE officials.

McIntyre’s appearance came after Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that he was expected to move to SmackDown.
