Adam Copeland Changes Name To ‘Cope’, Returns To Action At AEW Fight For The Fallen

Adam Copeland is now going by “Cope”, and he returned to the ring at AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen.

Copeland had been out of action since May due to a broken tibia that he suffered at AEW Double or Nothing. He returned at AEW Worlds End, where he and FTR took the fight to The Death Riders.

At AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen, Copeland and FTR faced AEW Woirld Champion Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli of the Death Riders. When Copeland came out, he was referred to as “Cope”, and the on-screen graphic match this change. Commentary also called him “Cope” throughout the match.

The two trios battled it out in a competitive main event. In the late stages, Moxley went to slam Cope onto the broadcast table, but Cope fought free and sent Moxley through the barricade with a Spear. Jay White ran in and dropped Yuta with a Blade Runner. FTR then hit Yuta with the Shatter Machine, and Copeland pinned him for the win.
