AXS TV has announced that their agreement to air NJPW programming expired at the end of 2024.
AXS TV had been airing NJPW content since 2014. After they parted ways in 2019, they signed a new deal in 2022. They renewed their deal in late 2023.
Dave Meltzer first reported the news on Wrestling Observer Radio. POST Wrestling then confirmed the report and shared a statement from an AXS TV representative.
“We will not be airing New Japan Pro Wrestling for the foreseeable future. Our agreement expired at the end of 2024. And we do not comment on the state of current or future agreements.”
Further details are unclear at this time. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
