Sweet Daddy Siki has passed away at the age of 91.
Greg Oliver of Slam Wrestling reported the news on January 1 and noted that he had battled Alzheimer’s Disease for many years.
Siki had a legendary career in the wrestling world; he competed from the 1950s and into the 1980s. Oliver noted that he helped train stars like Adam Copeland and Christian Cage. He wrestled for Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling and Stampede Pro Wrestling, among others. Before his time in wrestling, he served in the U.S. Army. He later had a music career as well.
Per Olive, Siki’s son Reg James wrote, “He lived a long life, did what he wanted to do, and made a successful career out of entertainment.”
