Viva Van Says She’s Signed With AEW

Viva Van is All Elite.

In November 2024, Viva Van noted that she had “signed” to an undisclosed destination. After weeks of speculation, “The Hellbent Vixen” has now confirmed that destination to be AEW.

In a new video posted to X (formerly Twitter), Van opened up a special gift box she received from AEW, her first as an official member of the company.

“Hey guys, this is Viva Van and this is my first box that I’ve got from AEW, since I’ve been signed,” Van said. :I wanted to unbox it with you guys, so let’s go. AEW hat, so cool. I have my buns on right now, so I’m not gonna put it on yet. And an AEW hoodie, my own. I’ve been dreaming about this moment for a few years now, so this is really surreal to me. One more thing, my AEW shirt [that says] ‘where the best wrestle.’ So happy to be part of AEW.”

Over the last three years, Van has sporadically appeared in both AEW and Ring of Honor, with her most recent outing airing on the November 14 episode of “ROH on HonorClub.” The week before that, Van wrestled former AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida on “AEW Rampage.”

Van previously told WrestleZone’s Ella Jay that she was looking for a permanent home in wrestling before the end of 2024. Evidently, her wish came true just in time.

Viva Van Makes History In Vietnam

Elsewhere in WrestleZone’s interview, Van opened up about a history-making moment she shared with Sumie Sakai in Vietnam. Together, she and Sakai cemented themselves as the first women to main event a wrestling show in the respective country. Additionally, they were inducted into the Vietnam Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame by AEW’s Chris Jericho.

“I thought, when I had planned to go back to Vietnam, that I’m going to do a show, I’m just finally going to be able to get booked for VPW. The first time I hit them up, I was like, ‘Hey, I would love to get booked.’ And they’re like, ‘Oh, we would love to have you, but we just don’t have the budget to fly you in. We don’t even have a ring.’ So it went from that to like okay, I’m finally here,” Van recalled.

“I had no idea that they were going to surprise me with inducting me into the Hall of Fame with Sumie Sakai. She’s someone that has always been so helpful to me since early on in my career, and I will never forget that. And so I knew that I wanted to share this very special moment with her. It’s crazy.”
