Matt Hardy discusses the breakout stars of 2024 and says Joe Hendry had the best year of them all.
Hendry has had a remarkable 2024, as he was featured in the crossover between NXT and TNA. He also challenged for the TNA World Championship at TNA Bound for Glory.
Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the TNA star was asked to name his pick for the breakout star of 2024, and he named Joe Hendry.
“When I hear the term breakout star, I think about people like Jacob Fatu, I think about Ethan Page. I think he had a big breakout year, coming to NXT and doing his thing. I think about Joe Hendry, I even Swerve [Strickland] in some ways a breakthrough star. Mariah May, she was a big breakthrough star. There were a lot of people that had really good years, and they really solidified their positions this year.
“My Breakout Star of 2024 because I was with him and I was up close and personal, and I saw how popular he has become, and how even being out on the streets, he was being recognized, it is Joe Hendry. That is the guy that I am going to vote for for the Breakout Star of 2024.
