Dominik Mysterio interfered in CM Punk‘s match at the WWE live event in Chicago on December 29.
Punk headlined the show, which emanated from the Allstate Arena, as he faced Gunther in a Steel Cage Match for the World Heavyweight Championship. In the end, Dominik Mysterio interfered and cost Punk the match by slamming the cage door in his face.
Punk is set for another major match in the near future. He will face Seth Rollins at the WWE RAW on Netflix premiere on January 6.
Diamond Dallas Page On CM Punk
WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page recently praised Punk. Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, he described how Punk spoke with him at WWE SummerSlam.
“It was at SummerSlam, Cody had said, ‘Did you hear about the email that went around?’ I said, ‘No.’ They said, ‘These are the legends they are gonna be here,'” Page said. “When they sent that email out, they had a little bio on each person. It was really cool for me because I’m a fan of CM Punk and just his whole Punk-ism that he is, how he is so over with the people.
“He literally came up to me, gave me a big, and he said, ‘Hey, I just want to welcome you in and thank you.’ That was super cool of Punk. I got a respect for him anyway. It’s amazing to me, the grip he has on the people. He can do no wrong.”
