WWE Hall of Famer and NXT commentator Booker T is set for his first match in over two years.
Booker T has not wrestled since ROW Summer of Champions VIII on July 9, 2022. This marked his first match since 2020. He briefly competed in the Men’s Royal Rumble in 2023, but he has not wrestled ever since.
According to fans in attendance at the Reality of Wrestling Breakout event on December 29, he agreed to face Zilla Fatu at the January 11 event after a confrontation between the two.
Zilla Fatu is the son of the late Umaga, and he continues to make a name for himself on the independent scene.
Trick Williams On Potential Match With Booker T
NXT Champion Trick Williams recently commented on potentially facing Booker T. In an interview with Ten Count Media, he discussed the possibility.
“I would be honored,” he said. “As everybody knows, the respect and reverence I have for Bate — the influence on even some of my moveset — [he] is definitely one of the greatest to ever do it. He’s definitely in my top three to top five. Being able to share his last match would be amazing. Wow. You know, I’m hoping — let’s go ahead and speak it into existence. We need that to happen.”
