El Hijo Del Vikingo Suffers Injury At PROGESS Event

El Hijo del Vikingo suffered an apparent injury at PROGRESS Chapter 175: Unboxing VII.

Vikingo made his debut at the PROGRESS event on December 29, and he faced Kid Lykos II. However, the match was stopped early, as Vikingo suffered an apparent injury. Vikingo landed awkwardly on what appeared to be a sunset flip, and the referee threw up the “X” sign. Vikingo was then helped to the back.

PROGRESS announced that Vikingo would be checked on by their medical team, and they hoped that he would return to the promotion in the near future.

This marked the latest injury that Vikingo has faced in recent months. He suffered a ruptured ligament and torn meniscus in February, and he was sidelined for several months. Vikingo later suffered an injury at the TNA television tapings in October, though he returned to the ring in November. He wrestled at a few AAA events, among other shows, before PROGRESS Chapter 175: Unboxing VII.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
