Multiple former WWE stars were in attendance at AEW Worlds End, according to a new report.
AEW presented AEW Worlds End at Addition Financial Field in Orlando, Florida, on December 28. In addition to the star-studded card, some noteworthy names were backstage as well.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that a few non-AEW wrestlers were backstage visiting on Saturday, as many talent live in the Orlando area. Per Sapp, Tom Pestock, formerly known as Baron Corbin, was backstage. Corbin’s WWE contract was not renewed when it expired, but he is not eligible to sign anywhere for at least a month.
Additionally, AJ Francis, formerly known as Top Dolla, was backstage. Francis has confirmed that his TNA deal is up on January 1. Sapp writes that Francis was seen talking to Tony Khan at ringside before the show, and he also talked to Swerve Strickland, his former Hit Row stablemate.
In a post on Twitter, Francis noted that he was still talking with TNA.
