Kenny Omega Returns At AEW Worlds End

Kenny Omega made his long-awaited return at AEW Worlds End.

Omega had been absent from AEW since May, but he made a surprise appearance at the pay-per-view on December 28. After Kazuchika Okada defeated Will Ospreay to win the AEW Continental Classic, Christopher Daniels came out and said that he could not present Okada with the Continental Championship, as he was no longer an EVP. However, Daniels said “this man” was, and Omega came out.

Omega then presented Okada with the Continental Championship, and they stared each other down.

Omega last wrestled in an All Elite Wrestling ring in December 2023, when he defeated Ethan Page. He was then sidelined for months due to diverticulitis. Omega made a one-off return on the May 1, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he spoke about his health and said he needed surgery. He was subsequently attacked by The Elite.

Omega recently appeared at NJPW Power Struggle in November. After he got into an altercation with Gabe Kidd, Omega later announced that he would make his in-ring return against Kidd at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty on January 5, 2025.
