Matt Cardona isn’t ready for tonight’s Game Changer Wrestling event.
It was reported last week following Ring of Honor Final Battle that Matt Cardona suffered an ankle injury in his match against Chris Jericho, but the hope was it wasn’t serious.
Cardona took to social media this afternoon to comment on the ankle injury publicly for the first time and announced that he won’t be at tonight’s GCW event, tweeting out:
“Sorry…I won’t be on this GCW show tonight in Seattle. I messed up my ankle last weekend at ROH. It’s not serious and I’m feeling much better…but I think it’s smart to let it rest for another week and start off 2025 HOT,” Matt Cardona said in a post.
While Cardona won’t be at tonight’s event, he’s already issued an open challenge for The People vs. GCW. That event takes place on January 19 in New York at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
On behalf of everyone here at WrestleZone, we wish Cardona a quick and painless recovery.
